This is a collection of my own thoughts, news I pick up, and discussions I am involved in in my professional life. It’s about Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Investing in Internet/Software, Cleantech, Sustainability and Triple Bottom Line (Impact Investing).
In choosing my work areas I am lead by the “Great Challenges”, the Singularity and Urgency. I believe that most people underestimate the power of exponential growth, both in positive and negative developments. So the world is usually surprised by positive things like the Internet, or shocked by epidemics or the climate crisis; however, all of these developments had been building up over decades.
In order to avoid a catastrophic outcome from the climate crisis, unsustainable population growth, and the other challenges, we need to focus on other exponentially growing forces: innovation, creativity, and changing consciousness. At least the first two are covered by what we call now Clean Technology.
